Do you take debit and credit cards?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. We also accept Chamber Bucks, local checks and cash.
Can I buy tickets ahead of time?
We do not sell tickets ahead of time. We recommend arriving when doors open at 6:15 p.m. for evening shows and 1:15 p.m. for matinees to ensure you get a seat!

How many does the theater seat?
The Operahouse has 239 seats. There are 194 seats in the main auditorium and 45 seats in our balcony. The balcony is only open when the main auditorium sells out. See above how you can rent the balcony for a private party.
Is the Operahouse handicap accessible?
We are accessible to everyone. There is a lift at the main entrance on 6th Avenue as well as a ramp located at the back of the theater. We have designated removable seats to accommodate wheelchairs. Please call ahead to let us know if you need a seat removed.
We have Closed Caption viewing sets for anyone hearing impaired.
Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes! Our gift certificates and movie passes make great gifts for all ages! They are sold at the Operahouse during normal business hours as well as Emma Rae’s Antiques and Uniques and Scott Drug Pharmacy.
How far in advance do you know what movie will be playing?
Due to the movie booking process, movies are not confirmed until the Monday before they begin playing. Please call us at (563) 659-8213 to inquire about specific movies.
What are your hours? What time do doors open?
Showtimes are evenings at 7 p.m. and matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. for evening shows and 1:15 p.m. for matinees. Closing time varies on length of movies or if there is a private event but there is usually someone available until 9 p.m. most evenings.
What are your ticket prices?
Evening shows are $5 per person (all ages). Matinees are $4 (all ages). Two-years-old and under are free.
Can I display my art at the First Central gallery?
Please contact the DeWitt Fine Arts Foundation for information on displaying artwork.
How do I request a donation?
